Austin’s Colony is a residential subdivision located near the intersection of Boonville Road and the Earl Rudder Freeway (Route 6), just a short distance east of central Bryan, Texas. Austin’s Colony is accessible via Austin’s Colony Parkway north of Boonville Road.

Austin’s Colony is just over 5 minutes from central Bryan and 10 minutes north of College Station. Neighboring subdivisions include Pecan Ridge, Austin’s Creek, Austin’s Estates, Silver Oak, and Miramont.

The area that Austin’s Colony occupies is transitional from the urban center of Bryan,Texas, towards the farmland of east-central Texas’ prairie region.

There are three sections to Austin’s Colony. The first section is located around Settlers Way and Austin’s Colony Parkway, the second section is between Mitchell Elementary and James Earl Rudder High, and the third is located around the intersection of Bullinger Creek Drive and Thornberry Drive.

Austin’s Colony itself is a simple residential community consisting of winding streets surrounded by woods and intersected by Carter's Creek. This gives the community a natural and organic feel. Amenities and attractions come into the Austin’s Colony experience thanks to the surrounding area and the town of Bryan.

Just south of Austin’s Colony is a large shopping complex anchored by a Kroger and including various restaurants and stores. Further south there is the Briarcrest commercial area, with a Target, Lowe’s, and Wlamart, and the St. Joseph Regional Hospital.

Austin’s Colony is located right next to Highway Route 6, providing quick access to cities north and south like Houston, Waco, and Dallas. A few minutes south is the town of College Station which is home to the campus of A&M University.

This area has many parks, like Sadie Thomas Memorial Park, Sul Ross Park, Travis Park, Park Hudson Trail, Kiwanis Trails, Oaks Park, Aggie Park, and Research Park.

Within Austin’s Colony itself and adjacent Harvey Mitchell Elementary School, is Austin’s Colony Park, which includes tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, soccer fields, baseball fields, an archery range, and more.
