This weekend the Greater Brazos Valley Builders Association is putting on one of my favorite events: The Parade of Homes™! This two weekend event is a great opportunity for everyone to see all the beautiful new builder homes all at one time! The best part about this event is that it is FREE and open to everyone! You do not need to be actively looking to purchase a home, or have a pre-approval letter, so this is a great stress-free, weekend activity for the whole family! My husband and I just took a huge step. We bought our first home! I know you are probably thinking “Oh, she is a Realtor. This is her job.” And you are right. It is my job, but this was one of the biggest decisions in my life.

I am always working on the opposite side of the deal where I represent the buyer or seller. To actually be the buyer is completely different. There are so many emotions involved. The excitement of looking at houses, the nervousness from finding out if your offer was accepted, the stress of trying to get a loan in place and your house closed, and the relief and accomplishment you feel when you hold your keys for the very first time. It is an emotional rollercoaster, but well worth the ride.
