In 2019, College Station ranked #16 out of the top 20 boomtowns in America, according to the financial company "SmartAsset." They chose seven variables to base these rankings off of which included "population change, unemployment rate, GDP growth rate, one-year change in unemployment rate, five-year establishment growth, five-year housing growth, and five-year change in household income."
