Texas ranked fifth nationally in home price appreciation

Texas ranked fifth nationally in Corelogic's April 2015 Home Price Index report, with an 8.3% home price appreciation rate. South Carolina, Colorado, Washington and Florida also made the list. 

Two Texas areas made the list for metropolitan areas with the highest rates of home price appreciation. The Dallas-Plano-Irving area took the first spot with 10.3%, and the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land area took second with a 9.5% home price appreciation rate.
