The Aggie Ring Tradition at Texas A&M University and what it stands for, aligns with our values at TM5 Properties

The Aggie Network says it best….”the design of the class ring at A&M is as deep in symbolism as it is in tradition. It symbolizes power, agility and development of the student. The Aggie Ring is not your typical university ring and it’s more than just a shiny piece of metal. You can be a thousand miles away from Bryan-College Station and people instantly recognize it. It is a conversation starter, an opportunity to get to talk to an Ole Ag and hear stories of when they were in school. It connects Aggies of all ages around the world. The Aggie Ring is the most visible symbol of the Aggie Network that connects Aggies around the world.

Dating back over a hundred years, it is a tradition that is deep in symbolism. Every symbol represents values every Aggie should hold: Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect and Selfless Service. Those who have earned the right to wear the Aggie Ring have cleared some of the toughest requirements in the country for a class ring, thus making it one of the most treasured items an Aggie possesses. The requirements were established by the Official Senior Ring Committee of 1933.

The Association of Former Students Aggie Ring Program has the honor and responsibility of protecting the integrity of the Aggie Ring. They oversee the eligibility, order and delivery for more than 9,000 students each year. Aggie Ring Day is one of the most anticipated milestones in an Aggie student's career. This event, hosted at the Clayton W. Williams Jr. Alumni Center, is celebrated 3 times a year for currently enrolled students: April, September and November.

The Clayton W. Williams, Jr Alumni Center hosted the largest Aggie Ring Day ever this spring 2014. A total of 4,400 Aggie Rings were delivered to Aggies! I know those Aggies that received their ring are wearing them proudly just like we do at TM5 Properties. Our real estate brokerage is proud to say that we are “Aggie owned and operated” here locally in Bryan-College Station by Terrence Murphy Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2005. The “5” in TM5 is actually one of the inspirations when the company name was created because of the Aggie Ring and graduating class year 2005. One thing we are proud of at TM5 Properties is our commitment to excellence and what better way to infuse these traits in our business then to hire Aggies graduates who understand Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect and Selfless Service. People wonder why our Realtors at TM5 Properties are so successful very early in their careers and we feel that the common bond and values here at TM5 Properties play a big part in the overall success of the company.
